solid steel (24 Sept 2010)

Solid Steel in association with Serato (24th September).

This week on Solid Steel we welcome SixAM from Liverpool with their Future Tense mixtape. SixAM are Dogs Pocket & Buddha and have been helping to pioneer the stateside "Glitch Hop" sound in the UK over the last 3 years. It's a 27 track odyssey through tough as nails hip hop beats and blistering booty clapping basslines, featuring plenty of unreleased, forthcoming, & exclusive material from Skanky Panky Records (founded by Buddha & William Breakspear), SixAM originals, and a few rare dusty gems. Speaker boxes at the ready, this one bumps!

Solid Steel resident Ruckus Roboticus takes care of the second hour with his mix "I Love You But I've Chosen Disco". It's quality releases that are disco & funk inspired from James Pants, Chaz Jankel, Al Kent and Dam Funk, plus another fine remix of the excellent Sun by Caribou.
