Solid Steel - October 19th

Solid Steel in association with Serato (19th October).

It's a sombre opening this week from DK with another spin for the beautiful Bodies by Wife, new music from Photek and a track from the forthcoming Lukid album. Recent guest Debruit gets a blinding remix courtesy of LV and it's a cheeky match up for Polar Pair and Danny Brown, followed by Machinedrum remixing Jesse Boykins III, another FlyLo cut and we warm up for our guest with Eddie Niguel and a Cosmin TRG mix for Cottam.

We welcome Martyn as our guest with an exclusive mix for Solid Steel and it's straight in with Swirlie by Gingy, followed closely by Egyptrixx and onto the mighty Boddika & Joy O. It's more quality Techno from Dense & Pika, forthcoming music from Trevino on Martyn's 3024 label and we close the first hour with Joe Farr and a Martyn remix for Big Black Delta.

Our guest in Hour 2 is Banks with his second appearance on Solid Steel and starts with one of two remixes for Ninja Tune. First up it's his transformation of The Keeper by Bonobo and then it's onto Deco Child, the excellent Anti-Pop Consortium from their album on Big Dada, before dropping his second remix which is a sublime rework of 'Lost where I belong' by Andreya Triana. The mix continues to flow with Modeselektor, Orbital from '94, Lusine and the collaboration between Four Tet, Burial and Thom Yorke. It's uptempo in the second half with Dauwd, another Bonobo remix, our guest in hour 1 Martyn and a remix for the Carl Craig classic 'At Les', before closing the show with his unreleased remix of 'Strong the root' by Lamb.
