Solid Steel - July 01.
Solid Steel in association with Serato (1st July).
This week Coldcut return to the show and it's a live DJ set from Matt Black at the Energy Union party in Brussels earlier this year. It starts with classic selections from Kwanzaa Posse, Armando Trovajol, Mr Scruff and a KC Flightt hip house track from '87. Then it's a more recent cut with the Redshape remix of Martyn's 'Seventy Four' and we keep the pace with DJ Naughty, the epic Seiji mix of 'Timber', Joy Orbison and another track from Martyn, before dropping down with Ed Solo, Bassnectar and The Bug.

In hour 2 we welcome back Boca 45 and it's been a while since his last 7" only mix so he thought that in these days of slick Ableton mixes, it was time to take it "Back to the crackle". We get to hear a choice mix of 45 x 7" vinyl records that range from Stezo, Mongo Santamaria, Tom Jones to Gary Newman, The Upsetters and Coldcut. As Jimi Hendrix once said 'There's only 2 types of music, Good and Bad' Enjoy.
