Jimbalaya - Chocolate Cake

well our boy, Jimbalaya is out and about with his latest project... the production of an album in 28 days - also known as the rpm challenge!

in his own words:

I spent the month of February taking part in a thing called the RPM Challenge. It's a challenge to produce a record solely in the month of February. For some reason, the people running the challenge over at http://www.rpmchallenge.com decided that the shortest month of the year would be the best time to do this... Either way, for the first time (this is my third year trying), it's complete!

For those unfamiliar, I take pieces of many songs (along with some effects here, there, and everywhere) and put them back together to create new songs ... It turns into something a bit like a collage or mosaic, but with sound.

You can download the entire album (it's about 30 minutes long) by following this link:
eat (or drink) Jimbalaya's Chocolate Cake!

Or you can read more about the recipe and download individual tracks by following this link:

what else is there to say?? oh yeah - it's fucking good stuff... GO!

from the Newsarama website:

"On this edition of the Word Balloon podcast , we talk about all things Watchmen, with the legendary co-creator, artist Dave Gibbons. my main man, Jimbalaya, has a new track available for your listening/downloading pleasure!

straight from the man who makes the music you hear on many of the King Megatrip intro tracks - a beautiful "up-beat, slightly jazzy tune"...

he takes Luminescent Orchestrii's track, "Moon Song" and revamps it for his own purposes... cool stuff... go check out the Jimbalaya blog site and download the .mp3 already...
