comics I've been digging...

ok - so, it's been a while since I've done a "what I've been reading post" - but got a few emails lately - so here we go... it's quite a stack since last time, so I'm going to break it down into a few posts over the week...

this time around... the good. the stuff I've been enjoying.

Unearthly Spectaculars #2... December 1966... some very cool stuff in this book. Jack Quick Frost "The Coolest Hero in Comics" and a bunch more... probably not an easy one to find - but well worth it!

Heroes Inc... 1969 goodness from Steve Dikto, Wally Wood and more... recommended by our pal Gordy... a bit "out of step" with the times but still fun stuff.


a couple of Marvel Two-In-Ones from the early 1980's... books I had growing up that disappeared... only to be bought back in a fit of nostalgia!

same here with this Invaders issue... Captain America, The Human Torch and the Submariner!!

Cowboy Ninja Viking #1... good fucking stuff... go buy it! and check out the panel that gives a shout out to Diplo and Switch (in my best radio voice... "Major Lazzzeeeer!")



Mark Millar's finale to the Old Man Logan story... Wolverine in one of his better stories (and there's been a LOT of them!)

The new Punisher series... Punisher Max #1. Jason Aaron on the writing and Steve Dillon back on the art... word!




Daredevil marches on... Andy Diggle and Robert De La Torre keep the quality high... Brubaker and Lark are a tough act to follow.

Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson on The Boys. Been trying to read these again in order - great reading... recommended!

re-read Grant Morrision's "Final Crisis"... this is the hard cover edition... makes for a great story when you sit down and read it all at once.




Grant Morrision's "Batman and Robin" series... yes yes yes! you should be reading it!
