Sorry for the delay in sending this week's mailout, here at Solid Steel we're still recovering from last weeks 20th anniversary celebrations.
This week (7th November) Collective Discharge met during their formative years and decided to act upon their worst instincts and make some music together. They enjoy drinking, smoking, listening, dancing, camping,djing, snowboarding and mashing, though not necessarily in that order. They also did us a rather tasty mix; featuring Cutty Ranks, Eletkrons, Wiley, Iggy Pop and more of the finest broad beats! Lovely job!
For the second hour we dive back into the archive for a look back at a mix from Coldcut that was also part of their Radio 1 essential mix from 2006. The usual array of classics and lefty-bits from the likes of Supercat, Lou Reed, Disco 3 and J Roc. I strongly recommend you check out part two of the mix at bosbos.net.
